Anything in excess is dangerous

"Athi sarvathra varjyathu" This is what the Sanskrit sloka says.

Toomuch of wealth is like accumlation of water in the boat. To save the boat from capsizing, we dole out the water from both our hands. In the same way if one possesses much more wealth than required, he should try to spend the excess by helping the have-nots.
